Demi is probably the best thing to ever be served in the drive-through lane at Starbucks. :)  She was in the back seat of a customer's car and the barrista commented on how cute she is. The people said – “Do you want her? We’re on our way to the shelter because we can’t keep her.” The barrista practically climbed through the window to get the puppy. She and her boyfriend knew they couldn’t keep the puppy long-term, but they also knew it was in the puppy’s best interests to go to a rescue rather than a shelter.  They connected with Bluebonnet on Facebook, and we met them at the same Starbucks to pick Demi up.

Demi looks like an almost purebred Pyrenees, but she has single dewclaws rather than double. She appears to be just a couple weeks older than Elsa’s puppies (you can also see them here on our website), so we estimated her birthday at 12/1/2015.

Demi LOVES playing in the little blue kiddy pool in our puppy play yard. She splashes in the water and even puts her nose under water and blows bubbles, much like a kid playing motorboat. She also plays really well with Elsa's puppies and gets along with adult dogs. She enjoys attention from people but isn't as demanding as some puppies are -- Elsa's puppies will jump up to get our attention, but Demi will stand quietly, tail wagging, waiting for her turn to be the center of attention.

Like all our puppies, Demi is available on a provisional adoption -- you adopt her (after going through our approval process), but legally, she remains our "property". (Yes, we hate that Texas law views dogs as personal property.) You pay the $300 adoption fee, which is non-refundable for puppies.  When Demi is old enough to be spayed, we will make arrangements and pay for the surgery, and afterward, we will finalize the adoption.  If you would like to be considered, please complete the online application here on our website.
