Won't you think about adopting me?
Sawyer Brown was wandering the streets in a small town in South Texas. Some folks tossed their leftovers out to feed him, and others mostly ignored him. Then one day, one person threatened to shoot him, so a local rescuer was called to save the day. She picked him up and took him to the vet to be scanned for a microchip. He didn't have one/ During his stray hold, she posted photos, and a variety of people said they remembered seeing him hang around town, but no one claimed him. So once his stray hold was up, Sawyer Brown headed north to Windsong Ranch.
Sawyer shows great guardian instincts, so we have been testing him with our livestock. He hasn't been consistently reliable with our goats, so we think he should go to a home where the only thing he is asked to guard is his home and human family. We also think he would do best in a home where he is the only dog, as he can be very picky about which dogs he gets along with. He hasn't gotten along with any of the male dogs we have introduced him to, and he seems to just tolerate female dogs. If you have a female dog whose personality is not alpha, we would be glad to do a meet & greet to see whether she and Sawyer might be friends.
If Sawyer sounds like exactly the right guardian for you and your home, please complete the application on our website.
