Hazel needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Miss Hazel was in rough shape when she landed in the shelter. With puppies, no less! She came into the shelter weighing a skeletal 45 lbs, but has slowly been putting on weight and today weighs over 70 pounds. Because of the serious wear on her teeth, she has been previously thought to be a senior anywhere from 7 - 10 years old. But our vet estimates her age to be 2 years old, 3 at the most. Now that she is significantly more healthy, Hazel acts like the young adult she really is. Hazel is a sweet girl who loves attention and loves to play with many of the other dogs here. With good care, she should continue to put on a few more pounds, and her coat should eventually get longer and more plush like a typical Great Pyrenees.
