Willow came into rescue after having her first litter of puppies. As soon as the pups were old enough to be adopted, Willow was spayed and has been enjoying the life of a footloose and fancy-free girl. Willow has been safe with our goats and sheep, but she is much too small to be a working dog. Like many dogs who used to live outside, Willow has decided that life in the house is pretty good. She's not a big fan of the crate, but will tolerate when absolutely necessary. When we have left her in the house uncrated, she has behaved very well, though of course any time you adopt a dog, we recommend that you use a crate or doggy gates to limit their ability to roam around the house during the transition period.

Willow is very playful with other dogs and doesn't discriminate between large and small, male and female. She doesn't bother our barn cats, so would probably do just fine with a dog-savvy indoor cat.

Willow has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly prevention. So she is ready to find her forever home TODAY! Submit your application on our website at www.bluebonnetrescue.org.
